I’m loving the new iMac.
Even though it is technically a tapered desktop and still has heft in the back, but the new iMac is what I would call really thin. I mean it’s so thin it seems almost normal to pack in a bag. The only problem I have with the new generation of Apple devices is that they definitely, in terms of design, have reached a plateau. Everything is getting thinner, faster, etc, but even on the new iMac it looks exactly the same in the front. Not that I want a more distracting, flashy design but I do want to see more risk, or some extra gloss.
For people complaining about it not having a disc drive, I’m sorry but it’s the future now. I feel like CDs are no longer intuitive or even natural enough compared to high storage USB2 and USB3 hard drives.
